I have these BCBGeneration Women’s Cristina Studded Boots in Taupe color. Loved the way they look… Either over the knee or folded over, one way or another , they look great. I usually unroll them since I think it gives the unique and trendy look for the season. I also love how they look when they’re folded over since they actually nearly went over my knees (most “knee high” boots end up below my knees since I’m fairly tall- 5′8).

You can dress it up or down. Looks great with mini dresses, skirts, shorts or skinny jeans. They are very soft so they slouch a little but that’s just the way they are supposed to be. When I wear these studded boots with my skinny jeans, the jeans make them stay up. Since I just bought them I am finding myself specifically planning my outfits around these boots nowadays (if you know me you will know what I am talking about).

Regarding the size, I took the advice from other reviewers from different online shopping websites. I am normally a size 9 so I ordered a 9.5. They fit perfectly with socks of normal thickness and seem to be very comfortable and they make your feet look so small and dainty!

For the calf fit, I have small but defined calves and I normally don’t have issues with my calves fitting into boots. Nevertheless after reading many reviews for these boots, I noted even people who had problems with their calves, felt like these boots were comfortable for them also. So my conclusion was: if you don’t have enormously wide calves you should be comfortable in them.

Even if I walk around in them all day, they are still very comfortable. They have great arch support. They are decently warm. The only set back is that they soil easily. If you end up buying them in Taupe color like I do, you need to pay little more attention and spend some extra effort for their care and cleanliness.

World War lll Has Ended In My Home

This is my anniversary gift to my husband to assure that we will have many more happy years together as a husband and wife. We won’t have any more arguments on his un-ironed shirts almost every single morning or before any special occasion that he has to look sharp with his suit and his wrinkle-free dress shirts…

I think it’s not a big secret that “nobody really likes ironing”. I tried to change most of my husband’s shirts with non-iron shirts, or taking them to the dry cleaner. However, obviously non of these efforts were good or cost effective enough. I was getting so frustrated about this bitter fact and having another chore in my life (like I needed it)…

I was reading bunch of reviews about different types of garment steamers, and couple of months ago finally decided to buy this Rowenta Garment Steamer. I had my own biases and lots of hesitation in the beginning. However I just wanted to give this product a chance.

Honestly, I have been really happy with my garment steamer since I bought it. Most importantly, it’s just so easy to use (even my husband can use it, and hard to believe he actually “likes” using it) Since this product ended our endless arguments, I am going to say this is an excellent product. But lets talk about the facts, and let me give you some details what I really liked about it, and some flaws that you should know before buying one.

First of all, as I said before, it’s just so easy to us. After you put enough amount of water (according to the manufacturer the tap water is just fine, isn’t that great?) you just plug it in, it starts warming up and voila, its ready in just as short as 2 minutes. You can actually tell by seeing the steam coming out of the tip of the hose.

While steaming your clothes, you need to come up with couple of tricks for a better outcome. For instance, I button up the shirts, hang it on a hanger and stretch it by one hand while steaming it inside out until I don’t see any wrinkles. It only takes couple moves to get rid of most of the wrinkles on most of the fabrics. For the arms, I first steam it from inside, as I stick the tip from the shoulder part of the shirt and then I steam it from outside.

I think I like using it better on suits, my dresses and skirts. After I used it for couple of my suit jackets and pants, I am convinced it is as good as having your garments back fresh from the dry cleaner.

I used it on drapes and upholstery and both looked fantastic after use.

It is lightweight and extremely portable. As long as you can plug it in, you can use it pretty much any spot in your house. It is small, and you can store it even under the bed. (the main body is little bigger than a shoebox, and you have the hose part and the tip, which you can roll around the main body.

Ok! Enough said about the pros! Let’s talk about the cons! If you fill the tank more than the marked line on the container, it starts flooding makes scary sounds. But the manufacturer emphasizes not to fill the tank above the marked line on it, anyways…The other flaw of this garment steamer is, sometimes you get a spurt of hot steam that leaves water spots on the fabric, and when it happens you might need to blow dry the garment to dry these dump spots if you are in a rush to dress up and catch the next train.

It functions better on silk or synthetics than cotton or linen, (as anyone who understands fabric would expect). If your looking for a commercial model, then please, buy a commercial model…however compared to this product, they’re expensive, heavy, and filling the tank is a chore.

As a conclusion, I love this Rowenta Garment Steamer. Most importantly, I like using it. I don’t have to have a big budget for the dry cleaning, and I don’t have to spent lots of time for ironing (or arguing with the hubby)

Stay Warm & In Style with Diesel Hadad Boots

Ok folks! Since I worked really hard during the week, I was so determined to step out for some activities without any purpose; such as window shopping, walking on the streets of the NYC, or just leaving myself to the Mother Nature and let my feet to take me some random place for a relaxing afternoon….

So my pick for this rainy day is my rain boots! I know it is not something new, but I think these rain boots are unique in a way…They are not bulky or heavy, nor they are full of colors that make you dizzy! My Diesel rain boots are eye catching without being glaring. The manufacturer has 2 colors in this “Diesel Hadad Rain Boots”, my pick was the “white”, since I also have a matching waterproof light rain coat from Style&Co that I can use pretty much for any occasion. (Instead of an umbrella I keep this rain coat in my car)

I am size 9, I bought them online (like many other stuff I own) They seem like true the size. The toe area is little roomy, or maybe I felt it that way since my feet are narrow. I have worn them couple times so far, since its been raining in the NYC almost non stop for the last couple weeks already. I got a lot of compliments so far.
